Andrew joined Percona in September 2013 as a remote DBA. His duties include handling remote DBA operations and collaborating closely with the team to evolve the RDBA offering. Andrew has 10+ years of mixed IT and customer support experience spanning various roles. Starting life as a customer support agent for Virgin Mobile Andrew took his communication skills into a technical support role at a small software house supporting regional clients using a SQL Server backed product. Andrew moved to Nokia in 2008 to develop enterprise experience and from there moved into a remote MySQL DBA role with the Pythian Group in August 2011. His major specialties are database administration, high availability, customer technical support, system administration and web development.
