Sainsbury’s is more than just groceries. Today, our extensive profile spans Tu Clothing, Sainsbury’s Bank, and Sainsbury’s Entertainment, with streaming movies & TV, music, eBooks and magazines. Historically, we’ve always used off-the-shelf products to support these, and outsourced our development.
However, in the increasingly fierce retail market, we need to be able to adapt and innovate in quicker and smarter ways. Over the last two years we’ve undertaken a Digital Transformation program, growing our internal engineering and development capabilities, and moved to developing our own products where they can bring us a competitive advantage.
